כִּמְעַט֙ שֶׁעָבַ֣רְתִּי מֵהֶ֔ם עַ֣ד שֶֽׁמָּצָ֔אתִי אֵ֥ת שֶׁאָהֲבָ֖ה נַפְשִׁ֑י אֲחַזְתִּיו֙ וְלֹ֣א אַרְפֶּ֔נּוּ עַד־שֶׁ֤הֲבֵיאתִיו֙ אֶל־בֵּ֣ית אִמִּ֔י וְאֶל־חֶ֖דֶר הוֹרָתִֽי׃

Kaum war ich fort von ihnen, da fand ich den, den ich von ganzer Seele liebe, — ich hielt ihn fest und ließ ihn nicht; ich brachte ihn in das Haus meiner Mutter, in das Gemach meiner Gebärerin.
